Community Rules and Policies
The following rules and policies are in addition to the Terms of Service you agreed upon signing up. Jolted Administration reserve the right to modify and change these rules at any time without prior notice. We also stress that not all rules and policies can be addressed in this document, certain punishments are at the discretion of the Staff Member imposing them.
Article 1: Decency
Please recognize and understand something that you do not find offensive may be found offensive enough by another member that they stop coming to the forums. In order to keep Jolted friendlier and more acceptable, you should comply to the following Decency Rules:
Within Jolted, please refrain from using homophobic, racial, or religious slurs, and also refrain from using excessive profanity, references to sexual acts, or references to body parts of a sexual nature. Using any of these in order to insult another member is highly looked down upon. Please respect everyone around you.
The Staff of Jolted has the final say in whether something is too offensive. If, at any point, you are asked to tone down or remove any potentially offensive material by the Staff, please do so. If you fail to comply, you may be risking punishment. The Staff is free to punish anyone who is blatantly violating this law without prior notice.
Article 2: Anti-Harassment Policy
Anti-Harassment Policy
For the purpose of this policy, harassment is defined as, but not limited to, inappropriate conduct, either real or perceived, of a verbal, visual or physical nature, based on a person's race, color, gender, religion, ago, disability, national origin or other status protected by law.
While all referenced typer of harassment are prohibited, sexual harassment deserves special explanation. Harassment because of sex is prohibited both in opposite sex and same sex situations, regardless of the sexual preference of the individuals involved.
Sexual Harassment is defined as: Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other physical, verbal, or visual conduct because of or on the basis of sex.
Harassment based on other groups includes, but is not limited to, unsolicited and offensive remarks, physical conduct, gestures, display or circulation of written materials, pictures or cartoons or other offensive matter/conduct that is based upon or directed toward a particular race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, age, or other status protected by law.
This policy covers all aspects of the Alien Adoption Agency, but is not limited to, the message board system, the quickpost system, the message system (all forms of player-entered text), the chat system, or any other aspect of communication.
Any questions or problems should be reported to your Human Resource Representative.
Article 3: Spamming
Spam is quite simply the posting of irrelevancies all over the forum. It is the posting of topics which have no discussion potential or the posting of individual replies which do not add to a current discussion but only seek to increase a post count and/or undermine a thread of a serious discussion. The bumping of threads is simply not acceptable. Users that are found to be doing so are subject to being banned and or warned at the discretion of the moderator.
Article 4: Advertising
Advertising, unless done in the correct forums, is expressly forbidden anywhere on this site. If you wish to become an affiliate of Jolted and AAAHZ Productions, please e-mail Nate at reddy@alienaa.com.
Article 5: Pornographic Material
Linking to Pornography or other highly undesirably sights is expressly forbidden will will lead to an instant ban of your account and possible deletion.
Article 6: User Signatures
All signatures should abide by the decency rules mentioned above. While advertising other games and personal sites in your signatures is allowed, advertising porn or racist sites is not. Abuse of signatures will earn you a temporary ban from the boards and a perm ban from the ability to use a signature.
Article 7: Banned Accounts
Very seldom a user is banned by mistake or for no reason at all. With that knowledge, creating a new account to dispute your ban sentence is simply forbidden and will earn you an instant deletion of all accounts. Posting on behalf of a banned user will result in the banning of your account WITHOUT warning.
Article 8: Multiple Accounts
You are allotted only one account per individual and individuals who are found to have multiple accounts will have all involved accounts deleted immediately and without warning. Certain exceptions are given in certain situations and ONLY approved by a forum manager.
Article 9: Private Messages
Abuse of the Private Message system in any form is strictly forbidden. The PM system should NOT be used for harassment, spam, or breaking any other form of the community rules. Those found in abuse of this system will be banned from using it.
Article 10: Separate Forum Rules
Each forum has it's own set of specific rules which you must also adhere to. Please read them (if any) BEFORE you post in that forum. They are an addition to the Terms of Service.
